Exmoor Classic Trial
Everything looks good for the weekend with the weather dry and not too hot for riding. The first day at Keypitts will be 3 laps of 10 sections down in the stream and woods of the Off-road Adventure Farm whilst on the Sunday at Shallowford there will be 3 laps of 12 sections up the valley. The good news is that due to there being a trial last week the majority of the rocks in the river have been scrubbed. To remind you:
Saturday 15th April - Keypitts Farm, Ilfracombe EX34 9RW. Start at 12.00 noon
Sunday 16th April- Shallowford Farm, Barbrook, Lynton, EX35 6PH.. Start at 10.30am
9th March 2017 The list of riders for the Exmoor Classic 2 day Trial at Easter can now be seen in the RESULTS section (above). A programme is being produced and will be available on the first day at Keypitts Off Road adventure Centre on Saturday 15th April Post Code EX34 9RW.
3rd March 2017
Entries for the Exmoor 2day 2017 are closed, Codie will be processing them all and we hope to have a list of riders up on the club website very soon. If anyone can spare some draw prizes, please bring them along. We need to raise as much money as we can in memory of Violet Beckley - Thorne Beckley Pett's Mum who died in January.
2nd February 2017
Well here we are. Why not come to sunny Devon and enjoy our Classic 2 day Trial on Exmoor on Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th April. So if you were unable to get into the pre-65 Scottish or you want to practice on mild rocks before your Scottish ride, come down to Exmoor National park at the other end of the country for a warm welcome. You will notice that day1 is at a new venue for the Exmoor, Fred Chugg at the Keypitts Off Road adventure venue has allocated a flat field just past the farm entrance for the start. Because Easter is the start of the season for the quad riding there we have been allocated all the lower valley which consists of a lovely rocky stream and several sections on the banks. Enjoy. Day 2 is at the usual Shallowford Farm venue near Lynton. There will be Toilets at both venues and the Secret Kitchen will be providing hot food also at both venues.
